When Strix died in Barovia, she entered into the mist with other wandering souls. She met a spirit named Jesper, a little boy.[1]
When the waffle crew traveled to Barovia's past, they met another Jesper, a bard who said he was from Berez. This one may have been an ancestor of Paultin's. This Jesper was a grown man, a bard with a scar over one eye.[2] He tired to sneak out of the wedding, but Strix spotted him and asked him to help the heroes stop the wedding. Jesper drove the carriage that Sergei and Tatyana fled in.[3] When it was clear that Strahd was overtaking the carriage, Strix helped Jesper flee safely.[4]
